Partnerships: at the core of the Microsoft Advertising Strategy

If you want to advertise on Digg.com, you will need to go through Microsoft as they are now the exclusive provider of display and contextual advertising on the popular news site. It's a great move for both parties as Digg looks to monetize their readers and Microsoft looks to provide the stream and get in to the Social Media game. Don't be surprised if Microsoft doesn't take the strategy further and start to acquire popular social media sites!

Google partners with Sprint to create new Web Portal

I picked this one up off the wire yesterday. Many talk about "the web going mobile" and being able to email, search, blog and browse with ease from any wireless device. Google is now working with Sprint to do just that. It's a blockbuster partnership, but will the millions of dollars invested in creating and then marketing the Web Portal to Sprint customers yield a positive return on investment? Who knows.....

I like this one.....Buy an Apple Computer and get a deal on LowJack Theft Software and Norton Anti-Theft Products. Hey, if you don't have a computer, then you don't need those services, but if you just bought one, then you might want to take advantage of the special offer.
