Who says that you can't sell 'digital music' in retail environments? The new wi-fi itunes music store will launch at
Starbucks locations in late 2007 (in selected U.S. cities) and will roll-out to most major markets by the end of 2008. Makes sense...Starbucks is already a leading seller of Music CD's, so why not facilitate a marketplace for owners of
iPods,
itunes or lap tops with
itunes software to be able to download music while getting their java fix? It's these kinds of
marketing partnerships that allow companies like
Apple to stay ahead of the game and that's why Apple is the dominant 'digital music' seller in the market, while Starbucks leads the way in sales of Coffee and creating a great customer experience. No brainer..... Love it!
Wonder if we will see this in Canada?
